On January 21, we marched by the millions and chanted in one loud voice: “We won’t go back!” Now it’s time to take a step forward in our fight for equal rights by supporting efforts to ratify the equal rights amendment (ERA).
American suffragist Alice Paul wrote the ERA in 1923, simply stating "Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex." Nearly 100 years later, we still do not have this basic protection against discrimination under federal law.
Please join us and the Feminist Majority on March 26 at Rinconada Park in Palo Alto to rally and walk for women's equality. Let us know you are coming and/or make a donation by registering here. The money you raise will ensure we have the resources to finally put women and girls in the Constitution.
Please help us spread the word by email, social media, and telling your friends.
Let’s do this!
Yours in Solidarity,
Women's March Bay Area | San Jose
